Overview

Lumen (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates realizedbylumen.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We take privacy seriously and collect only what we need to provide the service.

Information We Collect

Photos you upload.When you analyze a room, your photo is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for AI analysis and stored temporarily in our database to generate your results. Photos are not used for any purpose beyond producing your recommendations.

Account information. If you create an account to unlock pricing details, we collect your email address. We use Supabase for authentication and do not store passwords.

Usage data. We collect basic analytics (pages visited, features used) to understand how the product is being used. This data is aggregated and not linked to your identity.

Affiliate Partnerships & Tracking Cookies

Lumen participates in affiliate advertising programs. When you click a retailer link on our results page, we may earn a commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you.

Our affiliate partners include networks such as Commission Junction (CJ), Impact, Sovrn, FlexOffers, and AWIN, as well as direct programs with retailers including Blinds.com, SelectBlinds, JustBlinds, American Blinds, Blinds Chalet, and Visual Comfort & Co.

These affiliate networks may place cookies on your device when you click through to a retailer. These cookies allow the network to track whether a purchase was made and attribute the commission appropriately. They do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what is needed for commission tracking.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out pageor by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Analyze your room photos and generate window treatment recommendations
• Send you a magic link to access your account and unlock pricing
• Notify our design consultants when you request a free consultation
• Improve the accuracy of our AI recommendations over time
• Track affiliate commissions for clicks to our retail partners

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Anthropic — to process room photos through Claude Vision API
• Supabase — for database and authentication infrastructure
• Resend — to send transactional emails (magic links, consultation confirmations)
• Affiliate networks — cookies placed on your device when you click retailer links, as described above
• Design consultants — if you request a free consultation, your name, contact info, and room analysis are shared with the consultant we connect you with

Data Retention

Room photos and scan results are retained as long as your account is active. If you have not created an account, anonymous scan data is retained for 30 days. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.

Your Rights

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of Lumen after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
